Law Reform Queensland

It has become apparent that the Queensland Legal System is grossly corrupt.

I refer to corrupt as in broken and not by deliberate intent but by design.

The terminology description of crimes do not accurately describe the action.

Example: The act of stomping on someones head should be described as attempted murder, an action that knowingly can take the life of the victim.

The fact that a trial decision can be overturned by a following Judge shows that it comes down to a matter of opinion.

Were the crimes be more accurately described you could in fact have a check box system where you check off the legal requirements, and if all requirements of a custodial sentences of a crime were met it would return the judgement and consequence.

Plus, and this is my personal hate, a sentence currently set for a maximum length while it should be changed to set minimum sentence.

Finally we should bring back the death sentence but in a manner that does not lower us to their level. Hanging and Electric Chair is barbaric and if we can humanely put down a dog, we can do the same to an offender sentenced to death and proven beyond doubt to be guilty.

Maybe we can seriously look at the Judicial trial by jury system. I personally know of a case where a person was found guilty on no evidence, no corroboration, the charges were changed several times during the trial, the prosecutor made remarks to influence the jury and reprimanded by the Judge, and several times the Judge ordered the trial recording be turned off and parts deleted.

Its time for change.
